Comment:Hi Carol. Wacko, first Trom. Canning. I've been promoted too. Yes, Bass Trom. There are many great moments in banding that sweep in and out of our memories. I recall you as being great fun and always positive. I hope to see you and your A Grade band at Easter in Queensland. Looking forward to catching up. Crabby

P.S. Janice returned after a 10 year go with Ballarat.

Comment:Hi everyone! Well I'm having a ball, have so far walked from Kalamunda to just past Collie - it was a bit drier than last time we were there! I think I'm going to be pretty fit by the time I reach Albany on 17 Nov. Hope rehearsals and gigs are going well - I'll be back!!

Comment:Well done to Monkey and Canning on your performance this year. Also, thanks to the Youth Brass players who were fantastic on Saturday - Lisa, Jarrad, Irene, Andrew, Monica, Ben, Luke, Steve, Morty, Dave, Hayley and especially Lisa who's gong playing is superb! Check out www.4barsrest.com and go to the downunder page to see a review of the youth brass concert.
Most importantly, it was great to catch up with the band for a drink afterwards. Good luck to all the solo entrants for today.

Thanks guys,
Paul De Cinque.

Comment:Well done Canning on a great performance on the weekend at the States, the band played really well and far surpassed last years performance. Also a big thanks to Lisa, Lisa, Andrew, Irene, Jarrad, David, Monica and Luke for playing in the WA Youth Brass. And the "biggest" thankyou for scouring the camera for some of the worst photographs of me possible!

Cheers,
Paul De Cinque.

Comment:Hi All.

Just wanted to say how impressed i was at the performance at yesterday's state championships. 'Elegaic Variations' was a near faultless performance and the best I have heard the band play in my 18 years associated with it.

It was good to be sitting in the audience for a change rather than being on stage.

Well done to Martin on his first ever competition and well done to you all in achieving the high standard that you did.

All the best for the year ahead and I look forward to the August concert..

Tim.

Comment:Great site ...well done. My kind regards to Rohan and his mum and dad...I remember as a budding young eupho player in Upper Hutt NZ hearing John play Jenny Wren on the euph with all that triple tonguing and being filled with admiration and envy. Hope you have fully recovered from your recent fall John.

Comment:Hi fellow bandies,
I must say that this website is very handy for me in London to keep in touch with what you're all doing. The Kal pictures have been really good, although I must say that the scenery is slightly different over here, just a tad more green... I heard that it was lots of fun, have a good time at the christmas pageant, and don't get kicked out again, 'coz i want to be able to do it next year! Have a great christmas all. See you in January!

Comment:Fred..Although I have not been associated with CCBB for very long I must say that I have really enjoyed listening to the sound you have extracted from the band, all those fabulous harmonics floating around in the band hall, competition venues etc.

To top it all off was a brilliant concert at Kalgoorlie on Sunday 7/12/03 with the massed bands. "Highland Gathering??" your final performance with the massed
bands & pipes was absolutelty beautiful!! I'm sure all the band members played their hearts out... it was sublime!!

Cheers
